We've recently started a Cannell YDNA project which is already starting to reveal lots of information about the family (including that Cannells of the Isle of Man actually have a Celtic origin). The results will also potentially help with genealogical road-blocks (associating each individual with a particular Cannell ancestral line), and the ability to do this increases as more people are testing.
