Yes I understand the confusion .
With regards to how Ralph acquired land, to be honest at the moment that is not a major concern of mine. I was concerned as to his parentage as I had originally thought his father had died in 1788, which would have meant that Ralph wasn't the son of John. Now I know that John didn't die until 1815 I can legitimately say that Ralph is a Caveen, so my Caveen ancestry in still intact, which was what I wanted to ascertain.
