Hi Kevin,

You can also find other full will transcriptions at:
www.jurbyjim.com/IOM/Wills.html

and at
www.mannincloud.info/ (including the full index entries),

and wills and other information at:
web.archive.org/web/20150306170302/www.iomfhs.im/lawsons/LawsonBMD/Main_Site_index.html
[This is the old website of Brian Lawson's who compiled many IOM indexes, and it is not always possible to get into it, but is well worth making the attempt.]

You need to double-check your relative's tree, going back from yourself, generation by generation, and when you get back to your IoM ancestor you can see FamilySearch which now has the bapts, marriages, and burials scanned from many IOM parishes, including Lonan:
familysearch.org/search/collection/1784428?collectionNameFilter=false

There are two William Fargher baptisms in Lonan in 1785, one with father Philip, and the other with father John, so you do need to check that you have the right one. You can also check his marriage and children there.

Also keep in mind that the 1841 census has inaccurate adult ages - they were usually rounded.

On your relative's tree who were given as the children of William Fargher, and their dates? Which one was your ancestor?

Sue
