No - Americans tend to refer to the UK as England (rather to annoyance of Welsh & especially Scots ) hence the Mormon filing - your UK association too is wrong - I suspect this arises from the Postal arrangements which saw IoM bound mail routed thru the UK - another filing error was seen in early Ancestry census records that because the 1851 census places the IoM under Islands in the British Ocean along with Anglesey etc - hence because Anglesey was first alphabetically Ancestry filed IoM under Anglesey (which is part of Wales)
