Thanks . I have already looked at those and can only find out info on birth and death of son. I think he may have been Scottish. There is no marriage on English indexes and could have taken place in Scotland. Catherine was in London in 1879 where she gave birth to illegitimate girl twins and was not married then and Robert was not the father. Her whereabouts was a mystery until she returned to the island with Robert married and settled in Ramsay until his death in 1885. His son was baptised in Feb 1885 but born in 1884 in Ramsay. Do not know where she was in 1881 as not in censuses.
