Not sure why you've posted on the Isle of Man genealogy board.

There was a DeMeza family on Isle of Man in the mid-1800's. The info is probably in the archives of this board which I never can work. The family originated in Portugal and entered into the paper making business. As they moved to different countries they left family there and some moved elsewhere.
The family who came to IOM originated in Manchester, England. William DeMeza was b 1845, in 1864 he married Margaret Ann Kelly b 1847 IOM.
William had siblings-- Elizabeth - 1824, John-1828, Rachel- 1833, George-1835, Ann-1837, Louisa-1842, of these the first four born in Manchester and the last two in IOM. Their father was William b 1801
William & Margaret had George H. DeMeza - 1878 - USA--ancestor of person who put this info on the board.
his siblings= Louisa-1864-IOM, Elizabeth-1867-Manchester, Margaret-1864-USA

Perhaps you can make contact with the person who posted this info.

I found some DeMeza info on internet www .edpopehistory.co.uk /entries/demeza-william /1000-01-01-000000 CLOSE THE SPACES
