Re: Wm Looney d. 1661 – to – John Callow Loone

I'm glad John's 1783 will has shown up. That helps clear some questions from before.

Robert Looney & Joney Callow md 1648 also may have had a daughter Ann, who could fit the bapt Looney ___ Robert Looney/ Parish Church 16 Oct 1663. Her younger brother Thomas's 1691 will mentions brother in law Robert Cannon, Ann Cannon & daughter Margaret. Burial 14 Feb 1717: Ann Cannan als Lowny. Her 1718 will is on Ian Radcliffe's site. I believe the Robert Cannon above is the husband of older sister Catharine, md 23 May 1685 and the "Ann Cannon & daughter Margaret" is ambiguous because Robert & Cath had daughters by those names likely alive 1691. I can't find a marriage for Ann Lowny/Looney to a Cannon.

Robert, son of Wm & Mary was baptized 16 Sep 1698, not 1695.

I think Robert's widow Jane (Kneen) matches the 8 Jun 1780 burial of Jane Looney, rather than the 25 Feb 1780 burial. That's because the 1780 will is dated Febr 28th, which is after the first burial. But it depends on the wording of the will whether it was written while she was alive or just after she died.
