Re: Help with my family Genealogy

This fantastic and I can add the following with a high degree of certainty. See below but alos look at my questions at the end please

My line follows through the 3rd Generation line.

21 iv Thomas Moore was christened on 9th August 1846 died 16th November 1879 in Widnes, Liverpool

Thomas MOORE and Anne Jane GRIFFITHS were married on 28th February 1870 in Amlwich, Anglesey. Thomas MOORE and Anne Jane GRIFFITHS had the following children:

Thomas A MOORE born 1874

Robert H MOORE born 1875

Philip MOORE born 16th April 1879 – Lacey St. Widnes d 23rd Nov 1913 at Wavertree Liverpool

Fourth Generation

Philip MOORE and Gertrude PADMORE were married in 13th Sept 1899 at The Primitive Methodist Chapel, Everton they had the following children

1. Phillis G MOORE b. 1900 d. 1903

2. Reginald MOORE b.1902

3. Winifred MOORE b.1911

4. Ernest Leslie MOORE 17th March 1913 in West Derby, Liverpool d. 16th July 1983 in Coventry.

Ernest Leslie MOORE and Winifred Mary TABERNER married 16th Sept. 1939 at West Derby, Liverpool, They had the following children

Fifth Generations

1. Anne MOORE b.1940 d.1940 Liverpool

2. Phillip MOORE b.1941 Liverpool

3. David MOORE b.1946 Liverpool

4. John MOORE b. 1951 Liverpool (ME!!)

I am aware that I am unlikely to find out any more about the original John MOORE. I am not even sure he in my my direct line as in the 1841 census he is living with Arthur MOORE. Athur is 35 whilst John indicates that he is 75 which means that if he were Arthur father he fathered him at the age of 45 – a little old but not impossible I guess!!! John dies in 1846 too late for the 1851 census so we may never know for certain if John was Arthur's father. Where are records of names kept of people coming from Ireland in the late 18th century early 19th century?

My interest lies in my ggfather – Thomas MOORE who was born in IOM married in Anglesea and died in Liverpool. Thomas describes himself variously as a 'seaman' and 'mariner'. I know there would be fishing but hwo and why did Thomas arrive at Amlwich in Anglesey. There were copper mines there and perhaps there was trade up and down the Irish Sea. Are there any records of crew or boats working from IOM trading, fishing or other activities?

Nathaniel dies and there is an Episcopal Will – can I access this and how?

Far too many questions – but who knows someone might have a idea
