In "A History of Kirk Maughold" [1979] the Radcliffes wrote that Corkills had been recorded in Ballajora (farmland) since 1511, and that two separate Corkill families were living in different parts of the land throughout the 1600s "prosperously engaged in sheep-farming", and probably connected by a common ancestor.

and with your added information of the 'Particle Land' and the 'Staff Land'.

it is 2 Corkill families farming Ballajora.

James & co were of Ballajora Staff Land.

and My William Corkill d.1676 is on Ballajora Particle Land.

On CR’s chart for Corkill of Ballajora on the Particle land she has entries for them on the Manorial Roll of 1511 Thomas, 1604 John, and between 1608 and 1703 all Williams one after the other.
