Hi everyone I am researching my family tree and my Great grandmothers family came from the Isle of Man, her name was Mary Clews born 1834 and was the daughter of John Clews and Ellen Quayle. Mary married Robert Pierce ( a soldier) in 1854. My problem is with Ellen Quayle she gives differing birth dates on each census between 1806 - 1808. I am tryingto confirm her parents, I know she was born in Castletown but there were 2 births one to Thomas Quayle and Esther Shimmin and one to William Quayle and Christian, I am assuming this to be Margaret Christian. If anyone has any more info on this family I would appreciate the help. Also I wonder if there are any other Clews still living on the Island.
