Re: robert corkhill 1851 backwards

Hello Eric,
Many thanks for your reply. Just to explain further;- There may be a typing mistake lurking about somewhere. A few nights ago I found on--iomfhs.im/lawsons/LawsonsBMD/manx---there is a record (on 7.27 to 7.29) of a Thomas Corkill s/o Robert Corkill who married Margaret Kinrade 29th June1861. This is on 7.25.5.
Last year, Sue, Averil and Frances very kindly traced my ancestors back to the late 1660s.

Their searches indicated that Robert's son Thomas Corkill 1881 married Jane Graham in Whitehaven, then later married Mary Jane McLaughlin after Jane died.

Is it not possible that in the Lawson's records, the sons of Christopher and Robert, both being named Thomas, have at some time recently been incorrectly recorded.

I do not recall Sue, Averil or Frances having any doubt that Robert Corkill 1806 fitted into the family line during their searches last year. Thanks again, Tony
