Executor of William Quayle's Will, 1897

Reading the above will, German, dated May 1897, William declares' I leave and bequeath all residue of all moneys and other property belonging to me at the time of my decease to my brother John Quayle of East Foxdale and I nominate and appoint my said brother JQ of E. Foxdale sole executor of this my last will and void any former wills. However from imuseum deeds I have found, April 1898, Parish German, Assignment. William Quayle Deceased by William Henry Corjeag and William Cannell, Executors to John Quayle, Dreemlang in the Parish of German.
Question: How can the above W. Corjeag and W. Cannell be Executors ?
The Deed reference is there, do I have to go to the island to see it?
Thanks
Adrienne
