I hadn't noticed until recently how rare the surname Galvin was on the island. I have an ancestor called Elizabeth Galvin born to James Galvin and Elizabeth Karran in 1784 in Malew. The parents married in 1782. James died in 1791 there is a will summary on MNB. I can't find a baptism for James I'm wondering if James was Irish what do people think?
