Re: Cannell history
In Response To: Re: Cannell history ()

Jeanne, I drew my conclusions on the Cannell line for me from a copy of a Distribution my mother had. This John was at Cammel Beg, Michael - anyone know the history of it-info greatly appreciated????? I don't think he could have been married.
#40; 1878 JOHN CANNELL, Michael, dated 17 day of May 1878, JOHN CANNELL of CAMMEL d 15 Dec 1877 (age 71) intestate. Crt appointed John CURPHEY (lived at Cammel, moved to Ballakilley Clieu, son of Wm Curphey/Ann CANNELL-dec'd) administer. Pledges by Robert Oates of Ballalhonna, Michael & Wm Teare, Ballamennagh, Michael.
Names of recipients:
Charles CURPHEY (my gr grpa, son of Wm/ANN CANNELL); James CURPHEY (son of Wm/Ann CANNELL) & his son Wm., both of Whitehaven; Charles CANNELL, Liverpool (haven't been able to trace him); John CANNELL, Lezayre, Andrew KERR/Esther Kerr (nee Cannell (dghtr of Christopher CANNELL, dec'd).
John, Christopher, Ann were all children of John Cannell/Jane Cowley. I believe Ann's children were mentioned because she was dec'd (d at birth of last/10th child at age 41 and Wm Curphey marr. Ann Corjeage 2 mos. later) and Christopher Cannell(Esther's & John's father was dec'd. Ann was bur in Michael - no MI. Mother's notes, she was buried w/family. If anyone can find MI on Jane Cannell (Cowley) /John Cannell (marr 14 Jan 1804) Ann might have been added?? Do you belong to Ancestry? I have my info on there, incl. a Cannell line I started. If you don't let me know and I'll continue. Una
