Re: Robert Edwin Hudgeon/Catherine Clague

Thanks. Perhaps you are right about there being too many Robert Hudgeon's. I had scoped the Robert Hudgeon who married Catherine Clague both to his family (father/mother: William and Mary Cannan Hudgeon and grandfather Robert Hudgeon and Elinor Quine Hudgeon, as well as the Canada connection. Also the family of Olive Kermode Qualtrough through to her death in Wisconsin. Perhaps wishful thinking but the ages/dates/locations for the connection between "your" Robt Hudgeon and Olive Kermode Qualtrough seem to fit but the final conclusive evidence eluded me. I have the following for the marriage of Robt Hudgeon and Olive Kermode Qualtrough:live Qualtrough-Robert Hudgeon marriage:
Marriage; 28 April 1906 at Parish: Braddan
Groom: Robert Hudgeon, widowed, Father's name: William Hudgeon
Bride: Olive Qualtrough; widowed; Father: John Kermode
File MS0973/3/17

and an e-mail/info I received from a descendent of Olive Qualtrough:
Marriage Certificate: 28 Apr 1906: Robert Hudgeon, Age 48, farmer of 33 Palatine Rd, Douglas s/o William Hudgeon, farmer and Olive Qualtrough, age 44 of Hillside Cottage, Victoria Rd. Douglas d/o John Kermode, tailor. Witnesses: Stanley Cowley and Francis Jane Taylor

Would love to prove (or disprove) the Olive-Robt connection with your line.
