Manx Genealogy

Willie Collister/Callister

I am trying to translate an Uncles account of his"early childhood in IOM" that has been handed down to me and this tells of living with a Willie Collister/Callister who owned a Foden Steam wagon. Willie was married to Annie May Palmer and they lived "in a house which stood on the main road between Kirk Michael and Ballaugh called "Mountain View" and they had a daughter named Betty". Apparently the name of the house was changed to "The Manx" many years later. My uncle recalls they moved from there to a home that was above a Co-op store in Laxey because Willie needed to get some work for his Foden. This took place in the early 1920's from what I can make out. Annie May died and Willie remarried and I am hoping somebody has knowledge of this family. My uncle was Alex Palmer and Annie May was his step sister. Many thanks.
