Hi Richard,

I am posting a message on behalf of a new user of this board who is having difficulty having her email address accepted when she tries to post her message.

Good Morning,

I have just been reading some posts online which finished in 2010 about the Wylde family. My father, William Henry Cleaver Wylde emigrated to New Zealand in his late teens or early 20's. He died in 1957 when I was just 5 and my mother has told me little about him.

Searching online I have found records which show he was born in 1909 at Ladybarn, Manchester. His mother was Susan Ida Wylde and his father Otho Wylde of Chorlton. I am quite surprised as I always understood that Otho Wylde was his stepfather, although I have a photo which says that his stepfather was a Billie Newton. All very confusing.

While searching in Genes Reunited was fascinated to see my details come up automatically, so am assuming that someone knows about this branch of the family and has details of us.

If you can help me or put me on to the correct person I would be really grateful. I am so interested it has come up in an Isle of Man website as I visited there in late June to visit my neighbour's family, never dreaming I may have a link to the island also.
