William J Corkill is part of my Family Tree being the son of Thomas Corkill and Cath Clague
I Was contacted by Anthony Brien from Australia to say that we were related and that William J was married to Margaret waterson from whom he was a descendant.
I queried him about the connection and marriage as I have William J son of Thomas and Cath passing away December 1798 as have others on the Board
I think(no proof) that the Brien connection is from the John Corkill and Christian Cannell line hence the querie about the marriage if so it negates our connection
I have tried the board as films take so long to reach NZ and with Xmas comming it would be well into february before i could view them
There must be someone of my tree in I O M hence this askingthe only one I know who may have info is melodie Cheese who used the board last in 2000 and have not been able to trace her
I have no other info on a William J emigrating
