Thank you so much for all the information that is being posted. Now, if I may, I have been scavenging the IGI and wonder if perhaps anyone can shed any light on the following items.

What does it mean when an event (such as a birth) is described as "Other". I found a "Margt Bridson" with Other in Malew, 1824. I have a digital folder and an image number.

Also, is it at all possible that the two burials, might not be, but may be births? There is a "Margt Bridson" burial on 15 Feb 1825, Malew. Also another "Margt Bridson" Burial, 28 Feb. 1826, Malew, St. Mar's.

I know these are long shots, but as it is possible that the original birth information is incomplete, indecipherable, just plain missing, I wondered if these might be mis-transcribed.

If anyone can enlighten me that would be helpful and much appreciated.
