Margaret SKILLICORN, Jurby

John BREW 1684-1756 married three times. His third marriage was to Margaret SKILLICORN on 9 November 1738, in Jurby, where she was buried on 16 August 1785, als Skillecorn, widow.
Jurby Northside Sales record a number of dealings of the land Ballamenagh by John and Margaret and their children (recorded by me on Steve Brew's website).

When I looked at this line many years ago I assumed that she was the Margaret bapt 9 June 1710 Jurby, the daur of Daniel Skillicorn & Ann MCYLCREEST. Daniel SKILLICORN b.c. 1684, married Ann MCYLCREEST Jurby 15 August 1709, and was buried 14 March 1739/40. Ann was buried 12 December 1756 (FHS & Brian have 1746, so probably my typo). Ann’s brothers were possibly Patt MCYLCREEST of Jurby b.c.1685, and Thomas MCYLCREEST of Jurby b.c.1687.
Margaret SKILLICORN had siblings Christian, bapt 20 Jul 1712 Jurby (marr.COWLE?), and Jony bapt.24 Dec 1715.

Does anyone know where this family came from? Or know anything about their siblings? There were very few Skillicorns or Mcylcreests in Jurby at that time.

Thanks,

Sue
