Thank you for looking Averil, the 1906 Frances Shimmin married a Thomas Corkill, so that was not the one I was looking for. As you say Mary M found the marriage of Frances Clarke (Shimmin) in 1916, Peel This I can confirm. The other date you gave would put Frances at about 15 at the time.
I am trying to find either Frances on 1911 census, or
her first marriage to a Clarke, obviously prior to 1916, I am told there were no children from this first marriage.
My brain does not always work as I would like it to, since my stroke, and this first marriage has so far eluded me Again thank you for your time. I really appreciate any help. Colin
