Hi Pat
I did wonder if you had any more info on the Shimmins although I know it is the Bell family you are more interested in.
Yes she was definitely Kerruish - I have seen a copy of the marriage cert. Her father was James Kerruish a Car Proprietor and they lived at Kensington Lane, Douglas.
No doubt about the marriage - witnesses were Robert Cunningham and Frances E Kay.
Date of marriage was 20th June 1895 for your info at St Barnabus.
Stanley's data showed he was 23 years a Car Proprietor as was his father and living at 39 Cattle Market Street.
Jessie was 21 at the time of marriage.
As another matter of interrest Jessie's brother William Kerruish was married to Margaret or Elizabeth Shimmin and they lived next door to Jessie and Stanley in 1901 [nos 4 and 5 Kensington Lane.
I was struggling with the family that Stanley produced - there were 3 children who did not survive childhood but I can't find all 3.

But I also reckon that Stanley B Shimmin was in Andreas with his mother's cousin and family maybe [Howland] as well as being claimed by the family in Douglas. Was just trying to work out if this was possible - I can see how easy it could be !!
