Trying to update my Shimmin records [again] and at the moment I'm looking at Stanley Bell Shimmin.
born 1871 Douglas and died somewhere in Liverpool 1962.
He married Jessie Kerruish in 1895 in Dougas.
On the 1911 census 9 children are declared born to the couple with 3 of the 9 having died by 1911.
If anyone has any info on these children I would be interested to know please. Or, in fact, also of the children who survived.
BUT my main question is :-
Would it be possible for Stanley Bell Shimmin to have been put on the census twice in 1881?
He is with his family in Douglas but there is mention of a Stanley B Shimmin in Andreas at the same time as a boarder with John and Jane Howland.
There were Howland connections on Stanley's grandmother's side.
