Miller Family

Hi Donna,
Thanks for assisting me recently. Can I be so bold and ask if you could look up the 1891 census for the island in regards to the Miiller's. The names are as follows
Alexander Miller, aged 35, born in Ireland, occupation bricklayer / brick maker, married 10 years
Jane Miller aged 30 born in Lancashire (married Alexander 1881)
Henry Miller, aged 5, born Lancashire
William Miller aged 3, born Lancashire
Alexander Miller, aged 6 months, born Douglas.

The address I have for my grandfathers second marriage is #2 Fairy Ground, Douglas. He married my grandmother Anna Gilmore 10 September 1893, she lived at # 6 Fairy Ground.
Since Jane Miller died in Douglas I'm assuming the family would have resided at this address in 1891. My grandmother was living with her mother Louisa Sayle ( formally Gilmore, maiden name Hudson) and her stepfather Henry Sayle in at Victoria Place, Douglas in 1891. Henry Sayle was a plasterer who possibly knew my grandfather through the building trade. This association may have lead to him meeting my grandmother.

It's my intention to purchase Alexander junior death certificate to establish why he died so young.

Kind Regards
Frank Millar
