I had a look on IGI but only found John as son of John Thomas and Margaret Jane Cain b 1867 but no mention of the Taubman.
I thought maybe John Taubman Caine's mother would be ??? Taubman. That's why I am not 100% convinced yet that it is the correct family. And if he was born / bapt 1867 why was he not mentioned in the Will [Donna's response] along with the other grandchildren. Or am I missing something obvious???
Went to the museum today to look for the marriage but should have gone to Registry instead so must try again.

Just re-read your response hadn't thought to try Brian's census index. Will try it for 1871 and 81.
