Regarding a possible first wife of Thomas Kaighin (prior to Margaret Kaneen). This family had a history of trivializing marriage, including one who married a woman in Scotland with a wife still in Ramsey. So although I have seen no record of a prior marriage, I wouldn't discount it completely (although the "full age, bachelor" on the cert is probably correct).

Margaret Kaneen Kaighin was buried in Maughold, but I don't have a burial record for Thomas. He was a mariner, so consider looking into a death at sea.

I think Sue may be on to something with the christening of Thomas Edward Fitzimons 30 May 1846.

Regarding Sue's response:
The Margaret Kaighen, aged 51 buried 25 Nov 1900 was Margaret Kaneen Kaighen (census records show she was born abt 1848 also)
The Margaret Kaighen, aged 83 years, buried 1 May 1910 was Margaret Fitzimmons Kaighen (b. abt 1927 in Castletown)
The Thomas Kaighin, aged 83 years, buried 14 Feb 1930 was not part of this family. He was the son of Thomas Kaighin and Catherine Carmont of Lherghydoo, German
The Thomas Kaighin, aged 51 years, buried 6 Sep 1872 was the husband of Margaret Fitzimmons
