Re: John Callister / Ann Grimshaw

that's the new site - seems very picky in who and what browser it will accept especially if you are sensible enough to browse with good security settings
Humphrey is at ballaconelly Jurby in 1841 census with probably parents John Callister40 + an Ann Callister 36 - there is a 78 yr old Mary Callister (? mother of John) - other ch in household Betsy[Elizabeth]11, Ann 10, John 9, Cath 7, Thos 6, Humphrey 4 + 3 servants
The Mary bur age 84 Jurby 18440220 (no additional info in reg)

The younger children match those of John Callister + Eliza Mylchreest married Jurby 1829-06-07 but the couple might be John + Ann Grimshaw m Jurby 18200521 - in 1851c the Humphrey (son) is age 21 but two of younger ch match those of John + Ann

(the IGI appears to have some patron submissions that conflict with extracted records)

Sacred to the memory of JOHN CALLISTER late of Ballachonely. In his youth he feared the Lord and early united himself to the Wesleyan Methodists. For several years he acted as a local precher in connexion with that people and proved himself able rightly to divide that word of truth the latter portion of his life was spent in suffering allfliction but God was with him; he died in peace May 9th 1844 aged 44 years.
