Hello,
we are, with my husband, trying to go up his family tree. One of the direct branch is link with the IOM.
We managed so far to find the following .

Humphrey Callister, from Jurby, left the IOM, from Liverpool, in 1856 to New Zealand
Humphrey is born 1837, Jurby, Balla Connely farm

Parents were :
Father: John Callister ( circa 1801 - died in 1844 IOM )
Mother : Ann (circa 1805) . I have a hint who tells me her name was GRIMSHAW. but no proof

Mother of John appears to be : Mary. no maiden name yet.

We found info on Humphrey brothers / sisters (ie : john who took over the farm after is father death, some others who left for America ... ) but no luck going back in years.

If anyone had info or ideas where to look for them it will be much appreciated.
