Gelling/Clegg genealogy

Hi
My name is Robert Edward Gelling. I was born in Pietermaritzburg Natal South Africa on the 23-11-1942. My father Alfred Ernest Gelling was born in Estcourt, Natal, South Africa on the 01-04-1904. He was the son of John Thomas Gelling (Born 19-11-1866 died 19-04-1949) and Margaret MacLeod (Born 06-07-1866 died 18-11-1962) and brother of Bertram (drowned as a small child), John Alexander, Robert Cecil, William Hugh and Christina Esther Gelling.
With reference to the correspondence below, I would really appreciate some help in contacting Kay Clegg or anyone else who could assist us with the genealogy of the Clegg and Gelling families. We are in the process of trying to compile our family tree and need all the help we can get.
Many thanks for your assistance in this matter.
Bob Gelling

“Eric,
You are a legend, I have located the email that Bruce Gelling sent me 01 June 2003 - confirming they are the South African Branch of our family, which confirms my Auntie Luna Gelling meeting Robert Gelling on his way back to Ashburton New Zealand from one of his trips back to South Africa.
Doug, Michael and Colin Gelling are issue of John Alexander Gelling one of the family of John Thomas Gelling who was the son of James Gelling and Elizabeth Gelling which is where we tie in. Bruce gained a lot of his information from Uncle hugh Gelling who received a lot of research from Kay Clegg who is better able than I am to explain how she ties into this Gelling South African Branch of the family.”
