Re: Missing records, Bishop's Transcripts
In Response To: Re: Missing records ()

I don't know what is on the local MM film, but I looked at Bishop's Transcripts on LDS films in 2003. LDS film numbers 0992102 & 0992103.

They are described as "Bishop's transcripts of various parishes, 1734-1799.
Microfilm of originals in the Manx Museum, Douglas.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Douglas is a town partly in Kirk-Braddan and partly in Kirk-Onchan parishes. The churches lie within the boundaries of Kirk-Braddan parish.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many missing years.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Includes records from the parishes of Lonan, Conchan, Douglas, Braddan, Marown, St. Anne, St. Mark's, Malew, Arbory, Rushen, Patrick, German, Michael., Ballaugh, Jurby, Andreas, Bride, Lezayre, Ramsey, and Maughold."

The two films I looked at were 1734-1757 [992102] and 1757-1767, 1773, 1786-1789 [992103].

There was another filming in 1955: No.0992104.
And another series 1734-1760 [106651]; 1760-1764 [106652]; 1765-1767 [106653]; 1773, 1786-1799 [106654].
