Hello John,

Sue said,
To see proof of the error of using indexes to "correct" entries from the register John only needs to look at the entry on page one which he has changed from Brian's ABRAHAM to ABRAM because (he says) that is how it is written in the index. This is irrational. Brian's work should only be changed from the register, not from a possibly incorrect index. The "new" IGI, compiled from the new filming of registers in the MM, also has ABRAHAM.

I don’t think this is acceptable at all!

For you to change the name of ABRAHAM to ABRAM

I worked on the LDS transcribing of the Isle of Man, we had photo images of the Parish Registers, if the "new" IGI has ABRAHAM then that is exactly what it is!

For you to change it to ABRAM will be totally confusing for beginners to Genealogy when they are searching for the name ABRAHAM in the Isle of Man.

I understand that your are anxious to add all the extra information " that you have access to on the Isle of Man " and this is " good news " but!

Make separate webpages for all NEW information added

please leave " Brianˈs ORIGINAL webpages " just as they are!

And I do hope that all the extra information you are adding is coming from the official - Isle of Man Birth Registers.
