i think I have this figured out. John Christian who died 1767 and was marr to Cath Tear is the brother of Gibert Christian. The parents of John and Gilbert are John Christian and Joney Skinner.

John bpt 25 Nov 1729 Maughold ( only bump in my theory)although lists Joney as mother. I have the maughold film on permanent loan so will look at the bpt when i go to the FHC on June 25. I will also look at his marr to see if he was a wd or not. he would have been much older at this marr date. What are your thoughts on my theory?

YES, you do have it correct,

sometimes there is no Baptism found for some children in families, and they are only found when they are named in their Parents or Grandparents or Siblings, Wills.

as there is no Baptism that I can find for - Cathrine m. Jon Radcliffe - or for - John m. Cath Tear

but they have been named in Wills.
