Re: Le Vert / Faithfull / Verdot
In Response To: Le Vert / Faithfull / Verdot ()

Good news.

There's a tree on Ancestry which belongs to a great granddaughter of Emily Worthington b 1878 Cambridge, NZ, whose second husband was Ernest Lionel Levert 1875-1950 (son of Edward Robert Faithfull Levert 1847-1901 and Julianna Kent /Jackson 1844-1926.)

Edward died in Opotiki NZ in 1901. He probably emigrated in the 1870s; his son was born in NZ in 1875.

PS I spotted a 26th August 1867 entry in the London Lancaster Gate Christ Church parish register for the second marriage of Charlotte Hill Lucy Levert, widow, dau of Robert Faithfull, Clerk in Holy Orders ---- to Karl Christian Gravins, bachelor, gentleman, son of Christian Gravins, gentleman. She signed her name with that particular order of names (CHLL, not CLHL). Her sister, Mary Jane Windle Faithfull, was one of the witnesses.
