Re: Le Vert / Faithfull / Verdot
In Response To: Le Vert / Faithfull / Verdot ()

Hello Catherine,
This is the only LeVert entry I could find in the 1861 census in the Isle of Man, from Findmypast. [I had a look at the original scan and the name was Faithfull, not "FULL" as their transcript had! The scan is very poor, hence the "?"s. Ancestry might be better. Edward definitely 13.]

No sign of the twins b.1860, but there is an extracted entry (from parish register) on the IGI:
EDWARD GUSTON ROBERT FAITHFULL LE VERT Birth: 31 DEC 1846, Christening: 10 OCT 1860 Saint Thomas, Douglas, Isle Of Man Father: JOSEPH ADOLPLE LE VERT, Mother: CHARLOTTE HILL LUCY FAITHFULL. - So a late baptism.

They were not twins. The other entry with those parents was ARTHUR ADOLPHUS LEON FAITHFULL LE VERT Birth: 26 MAY 1844; Christening: 10 OCT 1860 Saint Thomas, Douglas.

I couldn't see the marriage Barbara wrote about "Adolphe LeVert of France who married Charlotte Lucy Hill Faithfull on the Isle of Man". Do you have a record of this?

As Barbara doesn't seem to be answering you, would you please post the information you have in more recent records about the Isle of Man connection and where this was recorded? Someone may be able to help further.
