How accurate would they be with their dates in the mid 1800's. My James seems convinced he was born Santon 1820/21 as per census and his age at burial in 1875 was given as 55 [that's through Brian's data.] Or could there still be 5 yrs either way at that time?

Would have been easier if I'd just believed he was the son of Paul Bridson and Jane Cannell but I am now fairly sure he wasn't.
I think he might have had a brother Thomas, b1813 who married Catharine Christian[1839] but haven't found his parents either.
