have you made a visit to Lydia 's Daughter, to see if she can shed some light on - Robert Cain (Carter)

or on Jane Cain born 1837 Daughter of Hugh Cain,

or even just ask her what she knows about her parents, Grandparents, Great Grandparents,

if you can get some of her family tree info then it should tie in with yours,
