If you look at my message 'Parentage help' sent on 14 Feb you will see that Sophia aged 18 ties in with stepgrandmother Catherine. Mind you, I still haven't got further verifying Philip Croaghan's parents. Thank you Donna for the burial reg of Elizabeth & John Kinvig although now I'll have to work out who this E.Kinvig was - death in 1891 aged 79 - that I thought was my Elizabeth (nee Croaghan). The Sophia aged 18 in 1851 was the oldest surviving dau of the 13/14 children of Elizabeth & John Kinvig. I should research her more as 9 of the chn I have found spouses etc for but as she wasn't with the family in 1851 I thought she might have already died. But no, she was still alive & living with her step gran.
