Good to have fresh eyes. Croghan is spelled so very many ways. The Crenshaw came from IOMFHS 1851 Arbory census.
I think you're right on with step grmo. Philip Croghan's wife Sophia died 1820. Philip Croghan md Catherine Clague in Braddan 19 May 1821.
