I'm going to go and digest what you have just told me about John Caine / Alice Cannell / and Cath Gell.
The lines I am trying to follow are John Cain and Isabel Cain married at KM 20 Jan 1798. Their son Thomas was left property and land at Glen of the Geese 1837ish and I am trying to work out whether it came down John's line or through Isabel's family.
Any ideas as always gratefully received.
