Hello,

I know Keig is a Manx name and my dad told me when I was kid that he was chatting to someone that knew a lot about Manx history and he apparently said that our name was one of the oldest Manx names and that the Keigs have been on the Isle of Man longer than most other Manx families. How true is this? Apparently it derived from Mac Kyg originally.

Also what is the oldest Manx family name?
