Re: New Zealand research resources for Manxies?

William Keig and Eleanor (nee Caley) did emigrate to NZ.
William Kegg born Ballaugh 1804 according to IGI.
Married Eleanor Caley on 12th September 1839.

7 children baptised at Ballaugh between 1841 and 1856.
After this they moved to Ballagyr, German.

The following children went with them to NZ:

(1) John (born c1841)who married Anna Taylor in NZ.
Anna died c1871 after which John and their 2 children William (born c1865 in NZ) and Nellie (Ellen Jane) born c1869 in NZ) returned to the IoM.According to a Keig contact I have: young William returned to NZ, possibly in 1881, see:

and married his cousin Elizabeth. He stayed in NZ and died there.
Nellie returned to the IoM and was living with her Aunt Annie (born c1856) in Peel.
(2) William (born c1843) emigrated 1863

He married an Elizabeth Brooker in 1872.

(3) Robert Keig born c1851.

Others may have gone out there too, but I haven't found evidence.
