Thanks Sue for your wise counsel about Ancestry. It is a shame that there does seem to be a lot of silliness on there. Being such an amateur at this even I know things like a child born 200 years after it's supposed parent is perhaps a little off!!!! I have laughed at a few trees that I've seen and been very frustrated at many others. Hopefully in the end I will get something close to the truth!

I take your advice now and do some more digging. Hopefully I'll get to the bottom of this bit of the puzzle.
