Thanks for that Sue. It could well be Moses as in 1935 he should be 75 if he was 1 year old in Lawson's 1861 census list. The John you mentioned might be his cousin as his brother John, again the same census, was already 16, so he was 15 years older than Moses. Also I think that John was my Greatgrandfather & he stayed on the island. There were so many John kinvigs but not many Moses which makes him easier to trace. I'm 95% but not yet 100% sure that this John, brother to Moses, was my grandmother's father.
