Re: MIs James+Frances Moore

Many thanks, Donna.

So Frances Moore nee Moore b 1824 is definitely connected to the Mary Moore from Ulverstone who was with her in 1841:

1841
Lancashire, Ulverstone, Ulverstone 4/2
Brook Street
Mary Butcher 64 ind Y
Mary Moore 45 ind Y
Frances Moore 15 ind Y

*********
This looks likely to be Mary in 1871:

1871
Lancashire, Ulverstone 12/3
Sontergate ?, (Ripley's yard)
Mary Moore head unm 79 interest on money b Lancashire, Cartmel

**************
I went on a wild goose chase following a Mary Moore of a similar age who appears in the 1861 IOM census as a widow age 65 b England, with 3 grown up spinster daughters, all b England. But I then found this same Mary Moore in Preston, Lancs in 1851 with husband, John Moore age 77 house proprietor b Santon, plus the 3 daughters. And then I found them in 1841 in Toxteth Park, Liverpool, so realised that this was a completely different family. I think that this might be the burial of this Mary Moore, widow of John:

MOORE, Mary 75 Santon 5 Apr 1865

So please, Donna, could you see if there's an MI for her , even though she isn't connected with the Moores in this thread of messages --- I'm curious about her.

Going back to the spinster Mary Moore from Ulverstone who's buried with James and Frances Moore, maybe she was a maiden aunt of Frances ?
