Talked to my dad earlier today and he remembered visiting Auntie Cowley with his Aunt, and they did indeed go on the train to Kirk Michael. He said she lived in a little cottage and kept geese. He was very young at the time and remembers mostly the train ride, Auntie Cowley making tea, and being sent out to play in the sunshine. He associates the name 'Ballanea' with the visits, but said Spooyt Vane also sounded familiar. Not sure exactly where Ballanea is.
