Re: KANEEN, Ramsey
In Response To: Re: KANEEN, Ramsey ()

It was in the 1851 census that John Kaneen [39 Farmer of 15 acres b.Braddan] and family were in Lonan at "Chlyclogh".

In 1861 John Kaneen, 50, was at 54 Maughold St in Ramsey stone quarrier b.Braddan, with his family including Thomas A., 4, scholar b.Lonan.

In 1871 Ramsey, Thomas was recorded as Albert, aged 14, which you should note. Father John 59 was then a farm labourer. So he hadn't been a farmer at "Chlyclogh" Lonan for 10-20 years, if the same John.

I can't see them in 1881 - did Thomas / Albert leave the IoM?
[The marriage Mike found has the "wrong" father for your Thomas Albert.]
