Thank you for the replies Lois and Sue. I am sorry if I posted in the wrong place . I have been away from my genealogy for a time and am going to start all over again as there is so much conflicting info. I have a start point as my gt grandmother Isabell Cowin b 1852 . I have her marriage cert, so can verify the fact.
I have her parents as Margaret Skillicorn and John Cowin from research by a distant family member who did some lookups . They came to Australia from Lonan IOM around 1851.
