Re: Corkill/Qualtrough/Christian

If you get the death cert would you please post the details on this board?
This man following looks as though he should be related?

This is from the WW1 record of Charles Herbert Aubrey Corkill, place of birth Urandangie QLD, enlisted at Cloncurry QLD, a labourer. Next of kin given as his brother William Edward John Corkill.
Charles's age was given as 28 yrs, 6 months on 14 April 1916, so he was b.c. Oct.1887.
You can look through his WW1 army record at:

I didn't find any other Aubreys, but Lewis William Corkill who is recorded as Aubrey's father in that death index record I posted also has a WW1 record. He was aged 28 yrs and 5 mths (3/4/16), married with 3 children, and was also from Queensland. I would guess that Charles (above) and Lewis were brothers - twins? - going by their names and the death index.

Anyway, have a look through their army records which give descriptions etc. Lewis's one has 20 pages, and Charles's one about 35 (from memory).
