Now I know for sure that he came from the Isle of Man, would be extremely interested to learn anything about him later in his life - eg when he was in Penzance. Something might help me in my search for information on the Corkells of Penzance (who he obviously knew) and their Manx Corkill family (who he knew about, if not in person)
