Re: Moore, Kermeen and Cowley

Hi Sara
Not much joy for you at this end I'm afraid. I have not done much research yet on the Moore side. The only thing I'm certain of is that my great grandfather John Moore was the son of Esther and had a brother called Philip. I've managed to back this up with the 1881 census which shows my grandmother Esther (aged 7) in the IOM on a visit from Askam-in-Furness in England. However, I did have a bit of luck on the www.familysearch.com website where I managed to discover a "pedigree" of the Moore's. I dont know how accurate this is yet but I've found that Esther Sayle and Nathaniel Moore had at least 5 sons. John (1841 - 1880), Arthur (1843 - ?), William (1844 - 1913), Philip (1852 - 1921) & Robert (1849 - ?). Is this the Arthur your chasing? if it is then he and my great grandfather were brothers. On the Moore side this familysearch trail only goes as far back as Nathaniels father John whereas on the Sayle side it goes back to around 1649. Sorry I cant be more helpful on this one Sara but I wish you all the good luck with the search.
